The picture above, bought from eBay, is said to be the James Dunbar Maryfield factory.
If Maryfield was purpos- built then it suggests that James Dunbar either came to Edinburgh with money to establish it or the factory began elsewhere and later moved to Mayfield. A former employee believed it may have initially been at Newington.

According to The Scotsman, the end of the stadium closest to the factory is known as 'the Dunbar end'.
A former Easter Road resident, who was a boy when the Albion Road factory was up and running, has shared (in 2017) that:
"I grew up on Easter Road close to Albion Road and was raised a devout Hibernian. I stood on the "Dunbar End" at Easter Road stadium many times. It is still referred to in those terms by Hibbies of a certain vintage although these days it is the dedicated away end.
"I also remember regularly kicking a ball about Lochend Park and seeing the outside wall of Dunbars with a giant hand painted sign that read "Aerated Waters" and wondering what they were....I also wonder if that sign (or wall) still exists. Doubtful with the development that has gone on."
